Becker Landscape

Becker Landscape is an Indianapolis firm that has been in business for more than 25 years. Its former website was in need of revision, as the company had added many services in a variety of applications. Involved from the initial stages of the website’s revision, WebWriters assisted in developing the new site architecture. Once that was established, we interviewed several executives and key personnel to gather information concerning the history of the company and the wide range of services offered. Before writing the copy, WebWriters reviewed a sampling of competitive sites, checking for industry jargon and analyzing keywords and phrases to assist in search engine optimization. This is a great example of how WebWriters can be involved from the very beginning of the process, assisting with mapping the site, interviewing, researching and then copywriting.

Brainstorm

Named the largest design and branding firm by the Indiana Business Journal three consecutive years and annually ranked as a top ten Web firm, Brainstorm offers a complete approach to marketing needs that is rooted in analysis and characterized by creativity. As the company approached the design and copy for their own website, Brainstorm looked to WebWriters to assist with content development. In order to accurately portray the vision and creative partnership Brainstorm builds with its clients, WebWriters had to fully understand its approach to providing integrated, strategic design services. WebWriters met with the principals of the firm, the management team and key personnel before beginning content development. The resulting website reflects the firm’s commitment to delivering innovative and effective solutions to every marketing challenge.

Crossroads Community Church

Founded in 1998, Crossroads Community Church quickly grew into an established congregation, opening the first phase of their building in December 2005. The church is located on SR238 in Fishers, IN. The church wanted a website that would reflect their motto, “Where Faith and Life Meet.” Like the church itself, the website needed to be welcominga place where real faith in Jesus Christ intersects real life through lasting relationships. WebWriters was involved with this website from the initial stages, developing the site architecture and gathering content from key ministry leaders. The site is easy to navigate and includes a number of visitor-friendly features, including a page entitled “What to Expect,” which provides detailed information to help visitors feel comfortable and welcome. Our experience as professional Web writers was key in presenting not only the facts about Crossroads, but in developing a site that portrays the church’s commitment, vision and character.

Fanimation

Fanimation’s benchmark designs set the standard for the ceiling fan industry, with an outstanding collection of fans that is nothing short of spectacular. Fanimation was established in 1984 by one of the industry’s leading innovators, Tom Frampton. WebWriters was involved in producing the copy for this site, including the history of the company and general descriptions of each fan. As you delve into the site, you will see particulars of each fan, including multiple blade and lighting options. In addition to content development, WebWriters proofed this site, which includes technical specifications for the fans. As fans are added or new lines produced, WebWriters is often called back to work on copywriting updates and revisions.

GE Consumer Network Solutions

GE Consumer Network Solutions (CNS) is a division of Thomson, Inc., devoted to the development and distribution of endpoint devices for the delivery of content — voice, video and data. CNS contacted WebWriters to develop a separate website for the newly formed division. WebWriters worked with company executives and the Web development firm to establish the site architecture, conducted a competitive analysis of comparable sites, interviewed key personnel for content gathering, and developed the copy. WebWriters handled content development from the site’s inception until the day the site went live. CNS looked to WebWriters to create a site that is more consumer-friendly than technical and assists the customer in making telephony choices, featuring products that range from simple analog corded products to advanced models utilizing state-of-the-art technology.

Hansen & Horn

Hansen & Horn is a name that has been associated with quality and innovation in residential construction since 1977. The company wanted a new website that would present a comprehensive overview of their homes, their communities, the Hansen & Horn difference, the Design Center and the entire homebuilding process. An extensive site, WebWriters worked with one of the largest Web development firms in Indianapolis to produce a visually appealing, easy-to-navigate site. From handy articles such as Choosing a Builder, Choosing a Community and Choosing a Floor Plan to a thorough description of each of their distinctive collections of homes and individual models, the site offers the visitor detailed information in an easy-to-follow format. WebWriters was also involved in developing a number of collateral print pieces for Hansen & Horn, including a large notebook that walks customers through the homebuilding process, as well as a number of brochures, model spec sheets and point-of-purchase displays.

Hobbs Nursery

A wholesale nursery that has been in business for 200 years, C.M. Hobbs has roots that go deep into the Indiana soil. The company wanted its website to pay homage to that rich history of quality, excellence and tradition while highlighting the ways in which it embraces today’s new technology to serve customers better. WebWriters developed the site architecture after meeting with the principal owner of C.M Hobbs. WebWriters stepped in with experienced interviewing techniques to draw from key members of the management team the exact information necessary to explain the business clearly and succinctly. This site includes real-time inventory and ordering information, and is geared to Hobbs’ customers: landscapers, builders, architects, golf courses, universities, parks, municipalities, garden centers, churches and other large institutions.

Intelex

Specializing in nationwide cabling and equipment installation and connectivity, Intelex manages more than 22,000 cabling installations annually for companies throughout North America. Intelex provides comprehensive services — including cabling installation, equipment installation, on- and off-site services, staging, redistribution and project management — so the company’s website needed to address all these functions. WebWriters was consulted during the initial phase to help finalize the site architecture. We conducted interviews with key executives, gathered additional information through industry research and incorporated existing company literature to develop the site content. The site includes case studies, which were also developed by WebWriters, in conjunction with project managers and end client input.
